The Royal Navy now boasts leading technology in its galley. Enodis worked in partnership with the MESHIPT and Devonport Management Ltd (DML) to develop the premium Convotherm +3 range for a marine environment and recently fitted a range of Convotherm +3 ovens on HMS Ocean, the largest ship in the Royal Navy fleet.
Chief Petty Officer Dave Weightman states: “With crews of up to 1,600 men the galley equipment can be in use 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Convotherm +3 has refocused the way we cook, bringing perceived economies in equipment and increased reliability."
